  • Silicotic nodes are located close to bronchi.
  • They are composed of concentrically and storm-like arranged bundles of fibrous connective tissue stained in pink from the eosin.
  • Around them are seen macrophages , ┬ácontaining anthracotic pigment – coniophages.
