  • Both kidneys are symmetrically reduced in size.
  • Their capsule is adherent to underlying tissue.
  • The surface is finely granular, the color – pale gray and the density is increased.
  • Overlying cortex is atrophic.
  • In the organ chyle the volume is compensated by secondarily grown fat tissue.
  • This is the end-stage of all types of glomerulonephritis.
