- Almost equally enlarged kidneys with longitudinal length of about 20 cm.
- The color is white, the capsule is tense; the surface is very uneven.
- The parenchyma is replaced by multiple thin cysts 1 to 3-4 cm in diameter, filled with clear fluid.
- The minimal residual parenchyma maintains the renal function until death.
