Myocardial infarction

  • Cut surface of posterior wall of left heart ventricle.
  • Transmural infarction, which embrace the whole thickness of the wall, irregular by shape, depleted structure and clay-like yellow color. (coagulative necrosis )
  • Necrosis at the periphery is distinguished with dark strip. (hyperemic-hemorrhagic area; freshly – black color )
