Micronodular cirrhosis of the liver
- The fibrous capsule of liver is slightly thickened, opaque, with decreased translucency.
- Its surface is uneven, strewn with uniform knots.
- The cut surface is diffusely covered with pale yellow nodules the size of a ‘lentil‘ to ‘pea’.
- They stand out above the hepatic parenchyma, surrounded by connective tissue septa and strands.
